Every summer, the Chinese Instintue of Engineers (CIE) hosts a MathCount Competition to advocate math learning for elementary school and middle school students. Along with the competition, there is also a half-day STEM community event.

 

"Girls in STEM" has been volunteering in this event since 2016 by setting up STEM-themed booths with hands-on activities for contestants and children in the community. The most popular activities for children are:

• Construction contests with building blocks

• Mash Mellow Tower in 3 minutes

• Suduko competition

 

"Girls in STEM" plans to continue a strong presence in this event to serve our community.
