"Girls in STEM" provides the platform for like-minded club members to meet during school lunch break or after school to learn STEM topics such as:

• Programming languages (Java, C++, Python, etc.)

• Webpage design and graphic design

• Database fundamentals (SQL, Oracle database, etc.)

• Robotics and Electronic Engineering Topics (Circuit design, robotics basics, etc.)

There is a wide range of resources that are available for learning opportunities:

• Career and technology department of the school

• Outreach programs from local universities and community colleges, such as the Computer Science Outreach Program from the University of Texas in Dallas

• Coding clubs and community STEM events, such as the Microsoft DigiGirlz events.
